Islamic shahada

Question

Should Muhammadur rasul Allah be dropped from the Shahadda? Some Quranists claim that the phrase introduces Shirk into Salat. But since Christian and Jews can say La ilaha il Allah, does dropping the phrase Muhammadur rasul Allah open the door to Christians and Jews to Salat, thus introducing even more Shirk?
