Question

Assalaamu alaykum I reverted to Islam some 17 years ago. I found my way to the Salafi manhaj and stayed with them for about 12 years. Over this time I had some differences in opinion and left their circles. Alhamdullilah I have recently been looking at Quran only Islam and I have found it very refreshing. As I am new to this I was wondering if you could please help me with my prayer, as I'm not sure how many times or how to perform it and what should be recited according to the Quran. Some people say that there are only 3 prayers mentioned in the Quran. Also I have stopped saying Ameen, because of what I read on your website, thank you. Any help would be much appreciated. We published a book about Salat prayer and many fatwas. Please read them in our site. We pray the same five prayers and the Friday prayer with it sermon. But we do not say the traditional (Al Taheyyat ). Instead of it we read verse 18 of Sura 3, (Al Tashahhod ). Also, we do not shorten our prayers while travelling. It is only while war.
