Islam Is the Religion of the Truth

INTRODUCTION:

ABOUT THIS BOOK: Islam Is the Religion of the Truth

 Translated by: Ahmed Fathy

1-  We have received a question via email about the reason behind ending many of our articles all the time with this phrase: (As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth). Our answer took an article form within the section (Quranic Terminology) and the yields of this Quranist research increased and a series of articles has been written; we combine these articles in this short book titled "Islam Is the Religion of the Truth".

2- The methodology adopted in this book is the same one within the section (Quranic Terminology); i.e., to trace and explore how certain Quranic terms, with their cognates and derivations, are used through the entire Quranic text. The articles of the genre named (Quranic Terminology) paves the way for other Quranist researchers to write articles in the same vein. Turning our articles in the form of a short book does not entail any change in our methodology of writing, as most of the content of this series of articles are referred to in our previous writings. The new item here is the title of the book: "Islam Is the Religion of the Truth".

3- We have tackled in our previous writings how Islam is the religion of peace, justice, Shura consultation (i.e., direct democracy), etc. This short book titled "Islam Is the Religion of the Truth" is an addition to these writings. The articles comprising this book tackle the topic from different angles as per the derivations and cognates of the term truth in the Quranic text: truth, truly, true, and truthful. This book tackles also the contradictions between Islam (i.e., the Quran), which is based on the Truth, and the Satanist earthly religions which are based on lies, falsehoods, and myths that drive people to reject and deny the Quranic Truth, in addition to the contradictions between true believers, who adhere to the Truth when dealing with people and in believing in the Divine Truth revealed within God's Word, and disbelievers who are addicted to telling lies and to denying and rejecting the Truth, and how the stances of both sides will be on the Day of Resurrection.

4- There is a certain issue that entails some explanation in detail in this introduction to this short book. This issue is mentioned only en passant in one of the articles; since the Quran is the only Absolute Truth concerning God's religion, this query is raised: do Quranist preachers have the right to claim to monopolize the truth since they quote the Quranic verses to prove their views?

5- We say that the answer is of course not; the reasons for this answer are given in the points below.

5/1: Quranist preachers/researchers offer their views in articles published online and ascribe these views to themselves and their names, and NOT to Islam per se. This is because human beings are liable to err and change their views and they may present right views. For instance, within our book titled "The Quran: Sufficient as a Source of Islamic Legislation", we quote Quranic verses in almost every paragraph, but after all, it is a book authored by us and it carries our name, our ijtihad (i.e., innovative) ideas. Thus, readers must verify notions they read in it. Likewise, any writers may quote Quranic verses, which represent the Absolute Truth, but they may use this quotations in a wrong way to prove a wrong view that has nothing to do with the Quranic Truth. Hence, no writers can claim they monopolize the meanings within the Quranic Truth. Any Quranist writings are ascribed to their authors and may contain right or wrong ideas based on Quranist ijtihad.

5/2: Prophet Muhammad's sole mission was to convey the entirety of the Quranic Truth as it is; he never provided 'interpretation' or 'explanation' for the Quran; otherwise, he would have been punished before his people as per these verses: "It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. Had he falsely attributed some statements to Us.We would have seized him by the right arm. Then slashed his lifeline. And none of you could have restrained Us from him." (69:43-47). Hence it was impossible for Muhammad to fabricate any verses to the Quran imprinted inside his heart since the first time he met the Holy Spirit: the arch-angel Gabriel; see 53:1-12 and 2:97. God says in the Quran: "Or do they say, "He forged a lie about God." If God so willed, He could have sealed your heart. But God obliterates the false, and confirm the true by His Words. He knows what is in the hearts." (42:24). The is one feature, among others, of how God preserves the Quranic text, which is the Absolute Truth, till the end of days. Muhammad's mission of conveying the Quran subsumed preaching it, warning with it, bringing glad tidings, testifying with it, and teaching it. this was done only using the Quran, without anything else added or any verse less from its text. Even when people posed questions to him, he'd wait for the answer revealed in the Quran; this is why many verses contain the collocation "They ask you about...Say...", and we have published online a book about verses of that type that assert the fact that all words of Muhammad about Islam are included in the Quran, and NEVER in any other sources at all. Islam has but one source: the Quran the contains the Absolutely Truth in which we are to believe. Hence, Muhammad has no words, sayings, or narratives outside the Quran about Islam. Muhammad's talks with people as a person is never part of Islam; he was a mortal who could err or say something right about ordinary matters of daily life at the time. Let us be reminded that the Quran mentions how Muhammad has been reproached and rebuked in the Quran for some of his words and praised for some others. Hence, as a mortal human being, Muhammad never claimed to monopolize the truth about anything; he only conveyed God's Word, the Quran, as the Absolute Truth.

5/3: If any mortals claim to monopolize the truth, this means that they contradict the absolute religious freedom in Islam; everyone has the right to discern from the Quranic text whatever notions while ascribing them to his/her ijtihad. Muhammad has been commanded to assert this absolute religious freedom (to choose to believe or not) to disbelievers among his people in the following verses: "Say, "O my people! Work according to your ability, and so will I." You will come to know to whom will belong the sequel of the abode." The wrongdoers will not prevail." (6:135); "And say to those who do not believe, "Act according to your ability; and so will we." "And wait; we too are waiting."" (11:121-122); "Say: "O my people, work according to your ability; and so will I. Then you will know. Who will receive a humiliating torment, and on whom will fall a lasting torment." We sent down upon you the Book for mankind in truth. He who follows guidance does so for the good of his soul. And he who strays in error does so to its detriment. You are not their overseer." (39:39-41). This means Muhammad was to respect their choice of faith/belief and worship and wait until God's Judgment is done on the Last Day. This applies to all people as well; they are to respect this absolute religious freedom of one another.

6- Yet, this respecting absolute religious freedom of one another does NOT contradict that preachers have the right to declare certain notions/practices/deeds as pertaining to disbelief as per the Quran used as the criterion. Some Quranic verses mention deeds and words of disbelievers; when Quranist preachers and writers assert that these verses apply to certain people now, this is NOT monopolizing of the Truth and NOT violating absolute religious freedom, for two reasons that we assert in the two points below.

6/1: Foes of Quranists among the Muhammadans have the same right to declare certain notions/practices or deeds as pertaining to disbelief. To declare this is a main feature in the Divine, Celestial Religion (Islam: the Quran itself) and in all the earthly, man-made religions as well. The most frequent Quranic words are ''polytheism'' and ''disbelief'', and other synonyms related to these two words: injustice, unjust ones, criminals, immoral ones, sinners, etc.

6/2: Within most of the earthly, man-made religions, to declare someone as 'infidel' or 'apostate' means to put him/her to death! In contrast, within Islam (i.e., the Quran), persons/names are never declared as such; rather, notions, deeds, beliefs, practices, etc. are deemed as pertaining to disbelief, for the purpose of warning and preaching so that people may repent and spare themselves eternity in Hell. Hence, repentant ones are no longer disbelievers or polytheists; we are not to declare someone as an 'infidel'; rather, we can judge their deeds, practices, notions, etc. as pertaining to disbelief.

7- Hence, it is the Quran only that is described as the Absolute Truth; this applies to other scriptures given to previous messengers/prophets of God of course. We are to believe in the Quran, God's Word, as representing the Perfect, Absolute Truth, without the belief in any other books beside it authored by anyone. This was also the belief embraced by Prophet Muhammad: "The messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, as did the believers. They all have believed in God, and His angels, and His scriptures, and His messengers: "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord. To you is the destiny."" (2:285); "O you who believe! Believe in God and His messenger, and the Book He sent down to His messenger, and the Book He sent down before. Whoever rejects God, His angels, His Books, His messengers, and the Last Day, has strayed far in error." (4:136); "... and say, "I believe in whatever Book God has sent down, and I was commanded to judge between you equitably. God is our Lord and your Lord. We have our deeds, and you have your deeds. Let there be no quarrel between us and you. God will bring us together, and to Him is the ultimate return."" (42:15).

8- Within real Islam, there is no belief in words of any mortals, because belief must be in the Absolute Truth: God's Word.

9- This is why we write all the time this phrase: (As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth).

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (1) in the Sense of Belief

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (1) in the Sense of Belief

Introduction:

1- The Muhammadans have abandoned the Quran and the worldly punishment inflicted on them by God is watched, heard, and read in media  worldwide. We refer readers to our series of articles linking Quranic verses and social and historical realities. Quranism is the reform methodology that use the Quran as the criterion to judge circumstances, deeds, and conditions of the Muhammadans past and present. This is why we often end our articles with the phrase: (As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth). If Quranists would not write/utter this phrase, who else would?!

2- We have received this question via email from a young man: (... Dear Sir, ...after you mention Quranic verses, you write the phrase (As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth), whereas Sunnites and Shiites utter different phrases after reciting Quranic verses! Why would we fabricate such phrases that are not mentioned in the Quran?! ...).

3- We have answered this young man that to mention that God says the Truth is a Quranic command in these verses: "Say, "God has spoken the Truth..." (3:95); "...And who speaks more truly than God?" (4:87); "...and who is more Truthful in speech than God?" (4:122). And because we, as a Quranist thinker, quote the Quranic verses to reform the Muhammadans, we remind them that the Quranic Truth is the Only True Islam by writing the phrase (As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth).

4- This email and our answering it inspired us to write articles about the Quranic terms Truth/True/Truly and their other derivations and forms in the Quranic text.

Let us begin with this article about the sense of belief in the terms (Truth/True/Truly).

Firstly: the Quran described as the Truth:

1- God says about the Quran, in a verse revealed in Mecca, that the Quran is Perfect and its words are never changeable: "The Word of your Lord has been completed, in Truth and justice. There is no changing to His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower." (6:115). Since this verse was revealed in Mecca, as verses were revealed incrementally, this also means that the whole text was imprinted in the heart of Muhammad in the Night of Decree (a.k.a. the Night Journey) at Mount Al-Tur in Sinai, Egypt, as we have mentioned before in one of our books. And then, the command would come for Muhammad to recite certain verses at certain occasions until the whole text is written down, and Muhammad died. Hence, 6:115 refers to the entire text imprinted first by Gabriel into the heart of Muhammad in the Night of Decree. This is mentioned again within this verse revealed in Mecca: "Praise be to God, who revealed the Book to His servant, and allowed in it no distortion. Valuable..." (18:1-2). Within the same Chapter 18, we read that the Book is described as never changeable and as containing the Truth: "And recite what was revealed to you from the Book of your Lord. There is no changing His words, and you will find no refuge except in Him." (18:27). The Muhammadans refuse to accept this Quranic fact and assume that the Quran is lacking and needs their sanctified books to 'explain' it and to replace its teachings and sharia laws (within the Sunnite myth of Naskh or replacement/supplanting). It is noteworthy that 6:115 is within the context of asserting that any narratives/hadiths in religion apart from the Quran are devilish revelations and falsehoods within the myths of earthly religion; thus, imams of the Middle-Ages who authored such 'holy' books are the most unjust ones and the arch-enemies of Muhammad and Islam. "Likewise, We have assigned for every prophet an enemy-human and jinn devils-inspiring one another with fancy words in order to deceive. But had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. So leave them to their fabrications. So that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to it, and be content with it, and that they may perpetrate whatever they perpetrate. "Shall I seek a judge other than God, when He is the One who revealed to you the Book, explained in detail?" Those to whom We gave the Book know that it is the truth revealed from your Lord. So do not be of those who doubt. The Word of your Lord has been completed, in Truth and justice. There is no changing to His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower. If you were to obey most of those on earth, they would divert you from God's path. They follow nothing but assumptions, and they only conjecture." (6:112-116).

2- We see here that the Quran is described as the Truth from God conveyed by Muhammad: "Who is more evil than he who lies about God, and denies the Truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell room for the disbelievers? But he who promotes the truth, and testifies to it-these are the righteous." (39:32-33).

Secondly: the Quran as the true confirmation of the previous celestial messages/books:

1- This meaning is repeated in many Quranic verses: "This Quran could not have been produced by anyone other than God. In fact, it is a true confirmation of what preceded it, and an elaboration of the Book. There is no doubt about it-it is from the Lord of the Universe." (10:37); "In their stories is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. This is not a fabricated tale, but a true confirmation of what came before it, and a detailed explanation of all things, and guidance, and mercy for people who believe." (12:111); "This too is a Book that We revealed, blessed, truly confirming what preceded it..." (6:92); "...And this is a Truth-Confirming Book, in the Arabic language..." (46:12); "He sent down to you the Book with the Truth, truly confirming what came before it..." (3:3); "And We revealed to you the Book, with Truth, confirming the Scripture that preceded it, and superseding it...." (5:48); "What We inspired in you, of the Book, is the Truth, confirming what preceded it..." (35:31). God says the following about Muhammad as he conveyed the Quranic message of God: "In fact, he came with the Truth, and he confirmed the messengers." (37:37).

2- The same meaning is repeated in these verses about divine revelation to all prophets/messengers of God: "We have inspired you, as We had inspired Noah and the prophets after him. And We inspired Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon. And We gave David the Book. Some messengers We have already told you about, while some messengers We have not told you about. And God spoke to Moses directly." (4:163-164). And in this verse about the same sharia legislations principles to all of God's prophets/messengers: "He prescribed for you the same religion He enjoined upon Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus: "You shall uphold the religion, and be not divided therein."..." (42:13). Hence, what was revealed to Muhammad is the same that was revealed to all of God's prophets/messengers: "...it is an Invincible Book. Falsehood cannot approach it, from before it or behind it. It is a revelation from One Wise and Praiseworthy. Nothing is said to you but was said to the Messengers before you..." (41:41-43). Divine revelation to all prophets/messengers contains the same message of (There is no God but Allah) and warning against polytheism: "We never sent a messenger before you without inspiring him that: "There is no God but I, so worship Me."" (21:25); "It was revealed to you, and to those before you, that if you adhere to polytheism, your works will be in vain, and you will be of the losers." (39:65).

3- The true Gospel and the true Torah were in Arabia at the time when the Quran was being revealed, and God in the Quran has urged the People of the Book to believe in the Quran as per what is revealed in their scriptures: "And believe in what I revealed, truly confirming what is with you..." (2:41); "O you who were given the Book! Believe in what We sent down, truly confirming what you have..." (4:47).

4- But most of the People of the Book in Arabia disbelieved in the Quran despite their belief in the Gospel or the Torah that contained the same facts mentioned in the Quran; God says the following about them: "And when a scripture came to them from God, truly confirming what they have-although previously they were seeking victory against those who disbelieved-but when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it. So God's curse is upon the disbelievers." (2:89); "And when it is said to them, "Believe in what God has revealed," they say, "We believe in what was revealed to us," and they reject anything beyond that, although it is the Truth which confirms what they have..." (2:91); "And when there came to them a messenger from God, truly confirming what they had, a faction of those who were given the Book threw the Book of God behind their backs, as if they do not know." (2:101). They even hated the arch-angel Gabriel who conveyed the Book into Muhammad's heart: "Say, "Whoever is hostile to Gabriel-it is he who revealed it to your heart by God's leave, confirming what preceded it, and guidance and good news for the believers."" (2:97).

5- All prophets/messengers before Muhammad confirmed the Truth (i.e., scriptures) revealed to previous prophets/messengers: "God received the covenant of the prophets, "Inasmuch as I have given you of scripture and wisdom; should a messenger come to you truly confirming what you have, you shall believe in him, and support him."..." (3:81). Jesus, and the Gospel, was a true confirmation of the Torah: "In their footsteps, We sent Jesus son of Mary, fulfilling the Torah that preceded him; and We gave him the Gospel, wherein is guidance and light, and truly confirming the Torah that preceded him, and guidance and counsel for the righteous. " (5:46); and Jesus announced this to his people: ""And truly confirming what lies before me of the Torah..." (3:50); "And when Jesus son of Mary said, "O Children of Israel, I am God's messenger to you, truly confirming what preceded me of the Torah, and announcing good news of a messenger who will come after me, whose name is Ahmad..." (61:6).

Thirdly: being true in one's belief/faith in the Truth:

1- To adhere to the Truth is to believe in it; this applies to the belief in God: "We created you-if only you would believe! Have you seen what you ejaculate? Is it you who create it, or are We the Creator?" (56:57-59).

2- This applies to the belief in the Last Day as part of the Quranic Truth witnessed by all humanity in the Hereafter: "And those who truly believe in the Day of Judgment." (70:26); "The Trumpet will be blown, then behold, they will rush from the tombs to their Lord. They will say, "Woe to us! Who resurrected us from our resting-place?" This is what the Dominant Lord had promised, and the messengers have spoken the Truth."" (36:51-52).

3- To believe truly in the Last Day is to believe in Paradise as the reward of performers of good deeds and Hell as the fate of evildoers: "Your endeavors are indeed diverse. As for him who gives and is righteous. And truly believes in goodness. We will ease his way towards ease. But as for him who is stingy and rejecting. And denies goodness. We will ease his way towards difficulty." (92:4-10). In this verse: "And truly believes in goodness." (92:6), we conclude that ''goodness'' is one of the names of paradise; this is confirmed in other verses: "...He will repay those who do evil according to their deeds, and recompense those who do good with goodness." (53:31); "For those who have done good is goodness, and more. Neither gloom nor shame will come over their faces. These are the inhabitants of Paradise, abiding therein forever." (10:26).

4- God says the following about Mary: "...she believed in the Truth of her Lord's Words and His Books, and was one of the devout." (66:12). God says the following about losers on the Last Day: "He neither truly believed nor prayed." (75:31). This means that belief is in the Truth from God's Word, which is our link with Him. Rejecters of the Truth are disbelievers in the sight of God.

5- Real believers must believe truly in God's Word, and some companions of Muhammad did not believe: "Obedience and upright speech. Then, when the matter is settled, being true to God would have been better for them." (47:21). Abraham was tested by the Lord God within a vision/dream, and he believed in the Truth in his dream and was about to slaughter his first-born son, Ishmael, and he passed this test successfully: "You have believed the vision." Thus We reward the doers of good." (37:105)

6- In these verses, the Truth means true faith and living/applying this Truth: "And say, "My Lord, lead me in through an entry of truth, and lead me out through an exit of truth, and grant me from You a supporting power."" (17:80); "And We gave them freely of Our mercy, and gave them a noble reputation of Truth." (19:50); "And give me a reputation of truth among the others." (26:84).

7- Support in terms of the Truth expressed in the words of Moses: "And my brother Aaron, he is more eloquent than me, so send him with me, to help me, and to confirm the Truth in my words, for I fear they will reject me." (28:34).

Fourthly: believers are true in their faith/belief:

1- God says the following about the pious ones who will enter into Paradise: "But he who brought the Truth, and those who truly believed in it-these are the pious." (39:33). Those who brought the Truth (i.e., Scriptures or God's Word) were prophets/messengers and those who believed in this Truth are true, devout believers.

2- There are those who claim to be believers but never perform (enough or hardly any) good deeds; God says the following about the true believers: "The believers are those who believe in God and His messenger, and then have not doubted, and strive for God's cause with their wealth and their persons. These are the true ones." (49:15). Hence, true believers perform many good deeds that show their true belief in God and in God's Word. Overt prayers are not enough; devout, pious belief in the heart, paying zakat/charity, adhering to peaceful demeanor, and patience in times of adversity and prosperity are the behaviors that reflect truly pious hearts. This is confirmed in this verse: "Righteousness does not consist of turning your faces towards the East and the West. But righteous is he who believes in God, and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Scripture, and the prophets. Who gives money, though dear, to near relatives, and orphans, and the needy, and the homeless, and the beggars, and for the freeing of slaves; those who perform the prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and fulfill their promise when they promise, and patiently persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and in the time of conflict. These are the true ones; these are the pious." (2:177).

3- This truthfulness of sincere believers manifests itself in difficult situations and hardships: "...and patiently persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and in the time of conflict. These are the true ones; these are the pious." (2:177); and within battles of self-defense that exposed hypocrites: "Of the believers are men who are true to what they pledged to God. Some of them have fulfilled their vows; and some are still waiting, and never wavering." (33:23); and those immigrants who left their possessions, money, and assets behind to seek to please God: "To the poor refugees who were driven out of their homes and their possessions, as they sought the favor of God and His approval, and came to the aid of God and His Messenger. These are the true ones." (59:8).

4- Some poor, weak companions who immigrated to Yathreb seized the chance to flee the tyranny of Qorayish and to live in peace (i.e., believers in terms of peaceful demeanor only), and they went on with their polytheism until shortly before Muhammad's death; see 5:90-92. Those among them who were not true believers in terms of their hearts will enter into Hell: "That He may ask the true ones about their truthfulness. He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment." (33:8). This applies to hypocrites as well who pretended to be believers but they were not; they will be exposed on the Last Day: "That God may reward the truthful for their truthfulness; and punish the hypocrites, if He wills, or pardon them. God is Forgiving and Merciful." (33:24). This will make true believers outstanding on the Last Day by their true faith and good deeds: "God will say, "This is a Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." They will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will remain forever. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is the great attainment." (5:119).

5- All prophets/messengers and true believers in all eras and localities (regardless of being males or females) are one Umma/nation in Paradise as they shared one belief and high moralistic level within their life on Earth: "Whoever obeys God and the messenger-these are with those whom God has blessed-among the prophets, and the true ones, and the witnesses, and the upright. Excellent are those as companions." (4:69); "Muslim men and Muslim women, believing men and believing women, obedient men and obedient women, truthful men and truthful women, patient men and patient women, humble men and humble women, charitable men and charitable women, fasting men and fasting women, men who guard their chastity and women who guard, men who remember God frequently and women who remember-God has prepared for them a pardon, and an immense reward." (33:35); "The patient, and the truthful, and the reverent, and the charitable, and the seekers of forgiveness at dawn." (3:17).

6- This is why God preaches and urges believers to be among the truthful ones to earn their place in Paradise: "O you who believe! Be conscious of God, and be with the truthful ones." (9:119). It is among the Shiite myths that Shiites make the term "the truthful ones" in 9:119 as referring only to Ali and his progeny!

7- As per the Quranic Chapter 56, Paradise dwellers are of two types: those on the Right and the Forerunners; the former are the true ones, and the latter who are higher in stature and nearer to God are those who were truthful all their lives.

8- God describes Abraham as follows: "...He was a man of truth, a prophet." (19:41). Sunnite disbelieve in this verse as they believe in Al-Bokhary myths that Abraham was an inveterate liar who lied three times! A prophet named Idris was described in the same manner: "And mention in the Book Idris. He was a man of truth, a prophet." (19:56). Mary is described as a truthful person: "The Messiah son of Mary was only a messenger, before whom other messengers had passed away, and his mother was a woman of truth..." (5:75). As always, God says nothing but the AbsoluteTruth.

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (2) in the Sense of Fulfillment of Divine Promises

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (2) in the Sense of Fulfillment of Divine Promises

Translated by: Ahmed Fathy

Introduction:

1- God never breaks His promises, covenants, and words: "...God never breaks a promise." (13:31); "...God will never break His promise." (3:9); "...The promise of God; and God never breaks a promise." (39:20); "The promise of God-God never breaks His promise, but most people do not know." (30:6); "...And who is more true to his promise than God?..." (9:111); "...The promise of God is true-and who is more truthful in speech than God?" (4:122). There are divine promises within this world that have been fulfilled and there are other promises related to the Hereafter which are bound to be fulfilled; both types of God's promises come in the Quranic contexts of the inevitability of their fulfillment as part of the Truth by God.

2- The divine promises might be conditional; for instance, the divine promise made to the early believers in Yathreb provided they would be true monotheists: "God has promised those of you who believe and do righteous deeds, that He will make them successors on earth, as He made those before them successors, and He will establish for them their religion-which He has approved for them-and He will substitute security in place of their fear. They worship Me, never associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that-these are the sinners." (24:55). This divine promise has been fulfilled after the victory within the battle of Badr: "And remember when you were few, oppressed in the land, fearing that people may capture you; but He sheltered you, and supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things-so that you may be thankful." (8:26). In other cases, divine promises are unconditional; for instance, the divine promise to the mother of Moses: "We inspired the mother of Moses: "Nurse him; then, when you fear for him, cast him into the river, and do not fear, nor grieve; We will return him to you, and make him one of the messengers." Pharaoh's household picked him up, to be an opponent and a sorrow for them. Pharaoh, Haman, and their troops were sinners. Pharaoh's wife said, "An eye's delight for me and for you. Do not kill him; perhaps he will be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son." But they did not foresee. The heart of Moses' mother became vacant. She was about to disclose him, had We not steadied her heart, that she may remain a believer. She said to his sister, "Trail him." So she watched him from afar, and they were unaware. We forbade him breastfeeding at first. So she said, "Shall I tell you about a family that can raise him for you, and will look after him?" Thus We returned him to his mother, that she may be comforted, and not grieve, and know that God's promise is true. But most of them do not know. And when he reached his maturity, and became established, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. Thus do We reward the virtuous." (28:7-14).

3- We demonstrate below some of these divine, true promises mentioned explicitly or implicitly in the Quran within the affirmation of them as the Truth from God.

Firstly: the divine promises in relation to this world:

1- The Israelites complained to Moses about the severe persecution inflicted on them by Pharaoh and Moses told them about the promise of the Lord God, and after the death of Pharaoh, this promise was fulfilled when the Israelites inherited his kingdom: "Moses said to his people, "Seek help in God, and be patient. The earth belongs to God. He gives it in inheritance to whomever He wills of His servants, and the future belongs to the righteous." They said, "We were persecuted before you came to us, and after you came to us." He said, "Perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy, and make you successors in the land; then He will see how you behave."" (7:128-129); "And We made the oppressed people inherit the eastern and western parts of the land, which We had blessed. Thus the fair promise of your Lord to the Israelites was fulfilled, because of their endurance. And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had built, and what they had harvested." (7:137); "And We settled the Children of Israel in a position of honor, and provided them with good things..." (10:93); "So We drove them out of gardens and springs. And treasures and noble dwellings. So it was. And We made the Israelites inherit them." (26:57-59).

2- The disciples of Jesus were not real believers; though they witnessed the miracles that Jesus performed by the help of God, they asked for yet another miracle: a table of food descending upon them from Heaven! They made this request in an impolite manner: ""And when the disciples said, 'O Jesus son of Mary, is your Lord able to bring down for us a table from heaven?'..." (5:112); their impoliteness and disbelief is manifested by questioning the omnipotence (or ability) of the Lord God and by the fact that they said to Jesus "your Lord" and NOT (our Lord). This is why Jesus said to them: "...'Fear God, if you are believers.'" (5:112). These disciples insisted on their request and God answered the supplication of Jesus while asserting that those who would witness this miracle and then disbelieve will be punished severely in Hell: "They said, "We wish to eat from it, so that our hearts may be reassured, and know that you have told us the Truth, and be among those who witness it." Jesus son of Mary said, "O God, our Lord, send down for us a table from heaven, to be a festival for us, for the first of us, and the last of us, and a sign from You; and provide for us; You are the Best of providers." God said, "I will send it down to you. But whoever among you disbelieves thereafter, I will torment him with a torment the like of which I never torment any other being."" (5:113-115). This was the last miracle performed by a prophet; the miracle that goes on until the end of days is the Quran and how it addresses the mind.

3- Within brining glad tidings, God promised early believer's before the battle of Badr to attain victory or to confiscate the Qorayish caravan, and most of them wished to confiscate the caravan without having to fight. The promise was fulfilled because they fought for God's sake; i.e., within self-defense endeavors and to stop aggression of polytheists. "God has promised you one of the two groups-that it would be yours-but you wanted the unarmed group to be yours. God intends to prove the truth with His words, and to uproot the disbelievers. In order to confirm the truth and nullify falsehood, even though the guilty dislike it." (8:7-8).

4- In contrast, the defeat in the battle of Uhud occurred as the Yathreb fighters were keen on spoils and never sought to please God; thus, after the initial victory as per God's promise, they were defeated: "God has fulfilled His promise to you, and you defeated them by His leave; until when you faltered, and disputed the command, and disobeyed after He had shown you what you like. Some of you want this world, and some of you want the next. Then He turned you away from them, to test you; but He pardoned you. God is Gracious towards the believers" (3:152).

5- God's promise of victory was repeated when the armies of the confederates sieged Yathreb, and hypocrites mocked the divine promise, whereas this divine promise increased the belief of real believers: "There and then the believers were tested, and were shaken most severely. When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is sickness said, "God and His Messenger promised us nothing but illusion." And when a group of them said, "O people of Yathreb, you cannot make a stand, so retreat." And a faction of them asked the Prophet to excuse them, saying, "Our homes are exposed," although they were not exposed. They only wanted to flee." (33:11-13); "And when the believers saw the confederates, they said, "This is what God and His messenger have promised us; and God and His messenger have told the truth." And it only increased them in faith and submission." (33:22). This promise was fulfilled as the armies of the confederates were defeated without fighting.

6- Muhammad saw in a vision/dream that he performed pilgrimage, and the Qorayish tribe at the time was repelling him and the early believers away from the Kaaba by preventing them from entering Mecca. This vision/dream of Muhammad was a divine promise that was fulfilled: "God has fulfilled His messenger's vision in Truth: "You will enter the Sacred Mosque, God willing, in security, heads shaven, or hair cut short, not fearing. He knew what you did not know, and has granted besides that an imminent victory."" (48:27).

7- The imminent victory in 48:27 predicts that Mecca will submit to Muhammad and the early believers later on without fighting; this was an implicit  true divine promise fulfilled when Muhammad saw people entering into peace (i.e., God's religion) in multitudes: "When there comes God's victory, and triumph. And you see the people entering God's religion in multitudes. Then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and seek His forgiveness. He is the Accepter of Repentance." (110:1-3).

8- God has fulfilled His divine promise to smite ancient nations of disbelievers while delivering the good believers in many eras: "Then We fulfilled Our promise to them, and We saved them together with whomever We willed, and We destroyed the extravagant." (21:9); "Before you, We sent messengers to their people. They came to them with clear proofs. Then We took revenge on those who sinned. It is incumbent on Us to help the believers." (30:47).

9- There are divine promises transcending all eras and localities; they apply once their conditions are present: "God has promised those of you who believe and do righteous deeds, that He will make them successors on earth, as He made those before them successors, and He will establish for them their religion-which He has approved for them-and He will substitute security in place of their fear. They worship Me, never associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that-these are the sinners." (24:55). This type of divine promises includes the following points.

9/1: The asserted conditional divine promise of attaining victory over aggressors if believers fight only for God's sake: "O you who believe! If you support God, He will support you, and will strengthen your foothold." (47:7); "...God supports whoever supports Him. God is Strong and Mighty." (22:40); "Most surely We will support Our messengers and those who believe, in this life, and on the Day the witnesses arise." (40:51).

9/2: The divine promise of reward in this world and the next to those who immigrate to flee religious persecution and thus suffering many hardships before they settle down: "Those who emigrate for God's sake after being persecuted, We will settle them in a good place in this world; but the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew. Those who endure patiently, and in their Lord they put their trust." (16:41-42).

9/3: This implicit divine promise for the pious ones to be delivered when they face hardships in this life: "...And whoever fears God in piety-He will make a way out for him. And will provide for him from where he never expected..." (65:2-3); "What you are promised is True." (51:5).

Secondly: the divine promises in relation to the Hereafter:

1- The Quran repeats the fact that Paradise and Hell are the divine promises for believers and disbelievers, respectively: "God has promised the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the disbelievers, the Fire of Hell, abiding therein forever. It is their due. And God has cursed them. They will have a lasting torment." (9:68); "God promises the believers, men and women, gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever, and fine homes in the Gardens of Eden. But approval from God is even greater. That is the supreme achievement." (9:72); "God has promised those who believe and work righteousness: they will have forgiveness and a great reward. As for those who disbelieve and reject Our verses - these are the inmates of Hell." (5:9-10).

2- God's divine promises linked to the Truth (as God is the True One God) are also mentioned repeatedly for believers who perform good deeds and who will enter into Paradise: "But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. The promise of God is True - and who is more Truthful in speech than God?" (4:122); "Those are they from whom We accept the best of their deeds, and We overlook their misdeeds, among the dwellers of Paradise-the promise of Truth which they are promised." (46:16); "And they will say, "Praise be to God, who has truly fulfilled His promise to us, and made us inherit the land, enjoying Paradise as we please." How excellent is the reward of the workers." (39:74).

3- The Truth is linked to the description of Paradise: "Is it a wonder to the people that We inspired a man from among them: "Warn the humankind, and give good news to those who believe that they are on a true footing with their Lord"?..." (10:2); "In a True Dwelling, in the presence of an Omnipotent King." (54:55).

Lastly: Satan's promise to Satan's allies:

1- Satan has promised the children of Adam to seduce and misguide them with illusions (e.g., intercessions of saints/deities); this promise has been fulfilled within ancient nations: "...And he said, "I will take to myself my due share of Your servants." "And I will mislead them, and I will entice them, and I will prompt them to slit the ears of cattle, and I will prompt them to alter the creation of God." Whoever takes Satan as a lord, instead of God, has surely suffered a profound loss. He promises them, and he raises their expectations, but Satan promises them nothing but delusions." (4:118-120); "Satan was correct in his assessment of them. They followed him, except for a group of believers." (34:20).

2-  Satanist, devilish discourses/hadiths/narratives/revelations are the foundations of the earthly, man-made, fabricated religions of the Muhammadans; all of them believe in the myth of mediation/intercession that turn their faith into mere wishes and illusions. God has warned in the Quran about the false promises of Satan and devils that are mere illusions, as the Only Truth in religion is from the One and True God in the Quran: "O people! Be conscious of your Lord, and dread a Day when no parent can avail his child, nor can a child avail his parent, in anything. The promise of God is true. Therefore, do not let this life deceive you, nor let illusions deceive you regarding God." (31:33); "Satan is an enemy to you, so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his gang to be among the inmates of the Hell." (35:6). But the Muhammadans have abandoned the Quran and adhered to Satanist and devilish promises; when they enter into Hell, Satan will disown them and mock them as Satanist promises and delusions of deliverance are never fulfilled and that Satan never forced them to obey him by believing falsehoods/hadiths of Al-Bokhary and his likes. This is the speech of Satan to Hell-dwellers: "And Satan will say, when the issue is settled, "God has promised you the promise of truth, and I promised you, but I failed you. I had no authority over you, except that I called you, and you answered me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot come to your aid, nor can you come to my aid. I reject your associating with me in the past. The wrongdoers will have a torment most painful."" (14:22). As always, God says nothing but the AbsoluteTruth.

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (3) Within Dealing with People and with God

Introduction:

We see here how truthfulness is contrasted with telling lies in word/stances of people and within real versus fake belief/faith. We provide some details in the points below.

Firstly: how God deals with people: truthfulness (i.e., within belief) versus telling lies (i.e., of disbelief):

1- Life is a test for all human beings, to see if their belief/faith would be strong enough to bear with ordeals, calamities, and adversities or not and to drive people to be thankful and grateful for bounties or not; in other words, would people lose faith and become losers on the Last Day or retain/increase their faith and be thankful to the Lord God. Hence, in such cases, truthful ones are differentiated from the liars: "Have the people supposed that they will be left alone to say, "We believe," without being put to the test? We have tested those before them. God will surely know the truthful, and He will surely know the liars." (29:2-3).

2- On the Last Day, God will ask the truthful ones about their truthfulness, whereas the liars/disbelievers will be tormented in Hell: "That He may ask the true ones about their truthfulness. He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment." (33:8).

Secondly: people judging one another regarding truthfulness and telling lies:

1- Prophets/messengers were accused by disbelievers of telling lies, as disbelievers reject the Truth; for instance, the believing prince of the family of Pharaoh defended Moses and protested against the plan of murdering him, while asserting shrewdly that if Moses were a liar, his lies will bring his downfall, and if he was a truthful person, his warning them against divine punishment is true and will take place: "A believing man from Pharaoh's family, who had concealed his faith, said, "Are you going to kill a man for saying, `My Lord is God,' and he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, his lying will rebound upon him; but if he is truthful, then some of what he promises you will befall you..." (40:28).

2- The Yathreb hypocrites used to support their lies by swearing by God's name that they had excuses for not to engage into self-defense endeavors, and Muhammad believed their lies without verification to see if they lied or told the truth, and this has made God reproach him: "May God pardon you! Why did you give them permission before it became clear to you who are the truthful ones, and who are the liars?" (9:43).

3- The Quranic Chapter 12 about the story of Joseph is filled with stances about truthfulness and telling lies (and conspiracies); we refer to some examples in the points below.

3/1: The brothers of Joseph, at the beginning of the story, conspired against him and threw him into at the bottom of the well, and then, they told Jacob this lie while pretending to be truthful: "They said, "O father, we went off racing one another, and left Joseph by our belongings; and the wolf ate him. But you will not believe us, even though we are being truthful."" (12:17). In contrast, toward the end of the story, when Joseph conspired to retain his younger brother in Egypt with him by a false accusation of theft, these brothers of Josephs, sons of Jacob, were truthful when they told Jacob how they lost another brother: "And when they despaired of him, they conferred privately. Their eldest said, "Don't you know that your father received a pledge from you before God, and in the past you failed with regard to Joseph? I will not leave this land until my father permits me, or God decides for me; for He is the Best of Judges." "Go back to your father, and say, 'Our father, your son has stolen. We testify only to what we know, and we could not have prevented the unforeseen.'" "Ask the town where we were, and the caravan in which we came. We are being truthful."" (12:80-82).

3/2: Joseph hatched a plot to retain his younger brother (both brothers are said to have one mother, and the rest of Jacob's sons were born from another mother); the elder brothers used to mistreat him as we infer from their words, for they described him as the brother of joseph who was a thief: "They said, "If he has stolen, a brother of his has stolen before."..." (12:77). After introducing himself to this younger brother in private, Joseph offered solace to this mistreated brother: "And when they entered into the presence of Joseph, he embraced his brother, and said, "I am your brother; do not be saddened by what they used to do."" (12:69). The traditions and  laws of Egypt at the time entailed to force thieves into slavery, and Joseph framed his younger brother (who knew all about this plot and agreed to put on this act to remain with Joseph in Egypt), as we know from these verses: "Then, when he provided them with their provisions, he placed the drinking-cup in his brother's saddlebag. Then an announcer called out, "O people of the caravan, you are thieves." They said, as they came towards them, "What are you missing?" They said, "We are missing the king's goblet. Whoever brings it will have a camel-load; and I personally claim this."  They said, "By God, you know we did not come to cause trouble in the land, and we are not thieves. "They said, "What shall be his punishment, if you are lying?" They said, "His punishment, if it is found in his bag: he will belong to you. Thus we penalize the unjust ones." So he began with their bags, before his brother's bag. Then he pulled it out of his brother's bag. Thus We devised a plan for Joseph; he could not have detained his brother under the king's law, unless God so willed. We elevate by degrees whomever We will; and above every person of knowledge, there is one more learned. They said, "If he has stolen, a brother of his has stolen before." But Joseph kept it to himself, and did not reveal it to them. He said, "You are in a worse situation, and God is Aware of what you allege." They said, "O noble prince, he has a father, a very old man, so take one of us in his place. We see that you are a good person." He said, "God forbid that we should arrest anyone except him in whose possession we found our property; for then we would be unjust."" (12:70-79). We notice that Joseph as a truthful person and a prophet did not say that his brother did steal; rather, he said: "...God forbid that we should arrest anyone except him in whose possession we found our property..." (12:79). In contrast, the announcer working under Joseph command accused them of theft: "...O people of the caravan, you are thieves." (12:70), and this accusation might be wrong or true, and this is why he said his words are mere claim or allegation: "...I personally claim this." (12:72).

3/3: The Potiphar's wife lied when she accused Joseph of attempting to seduce her, s she told her husband the following: "...What is the penalty for him who desired to dishonor your wife, except imprisonment or a painful torment?" (12:25). Joseph told the truth that she tried to seduce him: "...It was she who tried to seduce me..." (12:26). A judge from the family of the Potiphar's wife wanted to judge the matter to verify the truth: "...A witness from her household suggested: "If his shirt is torn from the front: then she has told the truth, and he is the liar. But if his shirt is torn from the back: then she has lied, and he is the truthful." And when he saw that his shirt was torn from the back, he said, "This is a woman's scheme. Your scheming is serious indeed." "Joseph, turn away from this. And you, woman, ask forgiveness for your sin; you are indeed in the wrong."" (12:26-29). Joseph was proven to be truthful and the Potiphar's wife was proven as a liar. When affluent women ridiculed her for loving her slave, she plotted against them by allowing them to see how handsome Joseph was: "Some ladies in the city said, "The governor's wife is trying to seduce her servant. She is deeply in love with him. We see she has gone astray." And when she heard of their gossip, she invited them, and prepared for them a banquet, and she gave each one of them a knife. She said, "Come out before them." And when they saw him, they marveled at him, and cut their hands. They said, "Good God, this is not a human, this must be a precious angel."" (12:30-31). The Potiphar's wife told them that she seduced him and he must choose between succumbing to her or being imprisoned: "She said, "Here he is, the one you blamed me for. I did try to seduce him, but he resisted. But if he does not do what I tell him to do, he will be imprisoned, and will be one of the despised." He said, "My Lord, prison is more desirable to me than what they call me to..." (12:32-33). Years later, the king wanted to release Joseph from prison, but Joseph insisted on being declared innocent first; the king led the investigation himself and asked the affluent women until the Potiphar's wife confessed her guilt and that Joseph told the truth: " He said, "What was the matter with you, women, when you tried to seduce Joseph?" They said, "God forbid! We knew of no evil committed by him." The Potiphar's wife then said, "Now the truth is out. It was I who tried to seduce him, and he is telling the truth."" (12:51).

4- A husband who accuses his wife of adultery without providing eye-witnesses can be accused of being a liar by his wife and he can accuse her of the same thing, which each of them claim to be truthful: "As for those who accuse their own spouses, but have no witnesses except themselves, the testimony of one of them is equivalent to four testimonies, if he swears by God that he is truthful." (24:6); "And the fifth time, that God's wrath be upon her, if he is truthful." (24:9).

5- Another stance of truthfulness and telling lies is within the story of Solomon when the  hoopoe told him about the Queen of Sheba, and Solomon told it: "...We will see, whether you have spoken the truth, or whether you are a liar." (27:27).

Thirdly: truthfulness in speech and promises:

1- In contrast to the Muhammadans who are notorious for their lies and breaking promises and violating pledges and agreements, real believers within real Islam are truthful people who keep their promises with all people they deal with, as we read in these verses about believers who will be among the winners on the Last Day: "Those who are faithful to their trusts and pledges." (23:8); "...And fulfill your covenant with God. All this He has enjoined upon you, so that you may take heed." (6:152); "Fulfill God's covenant when you make a covenant, and do not break your oaths after ratifying them. You have made God your guarantor, and God knows what you do." (16:91); "O you who believe! Fulfill your contracts..." (5:1); "...And honor your pledge, because the pledge involves responsibility." (17:34).

2- God does not mention all names and stories of prophets/messengers; see 4:164 and 40:78, and the Quranic stories of prophets/messengers do not contain all details. Ishmael and Joseph are described as being truthful: "And mention in the Book Ishmael. He was true to his promise, and was a messenger, a prophet. " (19:54); ""Joseph, O man of truth, inform us concerning..." (12:46).

Fourthly: the truthful ones among friends/companions:

1- The true friends or the truthful people are regarded as like relatives as one can eat inside their houses: "There is no blame on the blind, nor any blame on the lame, nor any blame on the sick, nor on yourselves for eating at your homes, or your fathers' homes, or your mothers' homes, or your brothers' homes, or your sisters' homes, or the homes of your paternal uncles, or the homes of your paternal aunts, or the homes of your maternal uncles, or the homes of your maternal aunts, or those whose keys you own, or the homes of your truefriends. ..." (24:61).

2- Some companions who accompany one in the same era and location might NOT be friends or foes. For instance, unlike the Sunnite myth that Abou Bakr (a Sunnite deity described as 'truthful', but an arch-enemy of Islam for Quranists because he was the first caliph to commit the sin of Arab conquests) was the one inside the cave with Muhammad during his journey/flight to Yathreb when he was chased by Meccan polytheists who attempted to assassinate him, God the Omniscient describes this incident in the following verse while describing this unnamed person as a mere companion and NOT a true friend who fraternal love toward Muhammad truly from his heart: "If you do not help him, God has already helped him, when those who disbelieved expelled him, and he was the second of two in the cave. He said to his friend, "Do not worry, God is with us." And God made His tranquility descend upon him, and supported him with forces you did not see..." (9:40). Tranquility descended ONLY upon Muhammad and not this unnamed companions who was a mere companion and never a true friend.

3- Of course, there are some companions who accompany one in the same era and location who may be foes; for instance, Muhammad's enemies among the Meccan polytheists of Qorayish were companions to Muhammad and knew how truthful and honest he was before his ministry as a prophet, but when he recited the Quran to them, they accused him of being insane, but God has defended him in these verses: "Say, "I offer you a single advice: devote yourselves to God, in pairs, or individually; and reflect. There is no madness in your companion. He is just a warner to you, before the advent of a severe torment."" (34:46); "Your companion has not gone astray, nor has he erred." (53:2); "Your companion is not possessed." (81:22).

4- Surely, companionship may be combined with true, cordial friendship; yet, close friends with hate one another on the Last Day when they know they have misguided one another regarding religion: "On that Day, the unjust one will bite his hands, and say, "If only I had followed the way with the messenger! Oh, woe to me! I wish I never took so-and-so for a friend! He led me away from the Message after it had come to me; for Satan has always been a betrayer of man."" (25:27-29).

5- Muhammad tried to be a true friend to the polytheists who rejected the Quran so as to win them to monotheism/Islam, and some of these deniers used to deceive him by lies and flattery: "So do not obey the deniers. They would like you to compromise, so they would compromise." (68:8-9). Their aim was to make Muhammad fabricate hadiths/narratives apart from the Quran; if he were to do it, they would have been his close, true friends: "They almost lured you away from what We have revealed to you, so that you would invent something else in Our name. In that case, they would have taken you for a true friend." (17:73).

6- Those polytheists and disbelievers who were true, close friends within worldly life will be enemies of one another on the Last Day; in contrast, believers who were true, close friends within worldly life will be the same on the Last Day: "On that Day, true friends will be enemies of one another, except for the pious ones." (43:67). The polytheists and disbelievers (both in terms of corrupt/little faith and aggressive behavior) who were true, close friends within life on Earth (e.g., who shared cordiality/affection within polytheistic religious feasts or festivals/moulids) will be enemies of one another who curse and disown one another on the Last Day. This is what Abraham had said to his people: "..."You have chosen idols instead of God, out of affection for one another in the worldly life. But then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will disown one another, and curse one another. Your destiny is Hell, and you will have no supporters."" (29:25). In contrast, the pious, true believers might had enmities among one another in the worldly life, but they will enjoy fraternal love inside Paradise: "But the righteous will be in gardens with springs. Enter it in peace and security." And We will remove all ill-feelings from their hearts-brothers and sisters, on couches facing one another." (15:45-47), whereas Hell-dwellers will scream, saying: "Now we have no intercessors. And no true friend." (26:100-101). This is why God has told Muhammad to warn people as follows: "And warn them of the Day of Imminence, when the hearts are at the throats, choking them. The evildoers will have no intimate, true friend, and no intercessor to be obeyed." (40:18).

As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth.

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (4) Regarding Charity Donations

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (4) Regarding Charity Donations

Published in November 18, 2017

Translated by: Ahmed Fathy

Introduction:

1- There are those who donate US$ millions for charity venues; this might not be intended to please Almighty God. There are those who donate very little but intend sincerely and truthfully to please Almighty God; this is a true expression of truth monotheistic belief in Allah. This is why in Quranic tongue, and the Arabic tongue, donations or alms literally means (truthfulness), sadaqa in Arabic, indicating benevolence and sincere, true belief in God. this means that charity donations in the Quranic contexts are directly linked to truth or true faith.

2- Many words of the Arabic tongue have their meanings indicated in their morphological roots; the Arabic root s/d/q (i.e., true) gives us the Arabic words for donation and sincere, true friend. The Quranic text introduces new words to the Arabic tongue: Zakat (which is charity money) also literally means to purify and recommend oneself with good deeds. Hence, donations money which are not linked to true, sincere belief in God and piety are null/void and never reward by God. God says in the Quran: "Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity (sadaqa) followed by insults..." (2:263); "O you who believe! Do not nullify your charitable deeds with condescension and hurtful words..." (2:264). About the link between charity donations and truthfulness, we provide some details in the points below.

Firstly: Quranic commands urging believers to donate for charity:

1- God commands us to spend money for His sake before we die and feel sorry because it will be too late to perform more good deeds: "And give from what We have provided for you, before death approaches one of you, and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a short while, so that I may be charitable, and be one of the righteous."" (63:10).

2- God urges real believers to donate money for charity by promising large rewards from Him in the Hereafter: "The parable of those who spend their wealth in God's way is that of a grain that produces seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. God multiplies for whom He wills. God is Bounteous and Knowing" (2:261); "And the parable of those who spend their wealth seeking God's approval, and to strengthen their souls, is that of a garden on a hillside. If heavy rain falls on it, its produce is doubled; and if no heavy rain falls, then dew is enough. God is seeing of everything you do. Would anyone of you like to have a garden of palms and vines, under which rivers flow-with all kinds of fruit in it for him, and old age has stricken him, and he has weak children-then a tornado with fire batters it, and it burns down? Thus God makes clear the signs for you, so that you may reflect." (2:265-266); "Those who spend their wealth by night and day, privately and publicly, will receive their reward from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve." (2:274); "The charitable men and charitable women, who have loaned God a loan of righteousness-it will be multiplied for them, and for them is a generous reward." (57:18).

Secondly: sadaqa or charity donation within Quranic legislations:

1- Harming poor ones who receive charity donations by words showing condescension and hypocrisy nullifies rewards of charity as it is deemed untrue and insincere: "Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by insults. God is Rich and Clement. O you who believe! Do not nullify your charitable deeds with condescension and hurtful words..." (2:263-264).

2- Some of those who donate for charity sometimes show this in public but not hypocritically; rather, in order to encourage others to donate for charity for the sake of the poor. Hence, giving alms in public is OK and so is donating in private in some other cases so as not to hurt feelings of the needy. In both cases, one is to be true, sincere to God within piety as one measures conditions of each case: "If you give charity openly, that is good. But if you keep it secret, and give it to the needy in private, that is better for you. It will atone for some of your misdeeds. God is cognizant of what you do." (2:271). Thus, what of vital importance is the type feelings of piety derived from donating money for charity, as per the great Quranic sharia legislations of God.

3- It is an obligation imposed by our Lord God that charity money must be from money earned through honest means and legal sources: "O you who believe! Give of the good things you have earned, and from what We have produced for you from the earth. And do not pick the inferior things to give away, when you yourselves would not accept it except with eyes closed. And know that God is Sufficient and Praiseworthy." (2:267).

4- We tackle in the points below the categories of those who deserve charity donations.

4/1: About obligatory zakat money collected and regulated by a given Quran-based country from all citizens, we read the following verse: "Charities are for the poor, and the destitute, and those who administer them, and for reconciling hearts, and for freeing slaves, and for those in debt, and in the path of God, and for the traveler in need-an obligation from God. God is All-Knowing, Most Wise." (9:60).

4/2: Individual donations are surplus money-sums which are not needed by donators, who are neither stingy nor extravagant, and such donations are granted to certain categories of people: "...And they ask you about what they should give: say, "The surplus."..." (2:219); "And those who, when they spend, are neither wasteful nor stingy, but choose a middle course between that." (25:67); "They ask you what they should give. Say, "Whatever charity you give is for the parents, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the wayfarer. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it." (2:215).

4/3: Charity donations are to be paid for this special category of impecunious immigrants who fled religious persecution and seek to please God, and they are shy to ask for anything from anyone: "It is for the poor; those who are restrained in the way of God, and unable to travel in the land. The unaware would think them rich, due to their dignity. You will recognize them by their features. They do not ask from people insistently. Whatever charity you give, God is aware of it." (2:273).

4/4: Those who deserve receiving charity donations are not necessarily guided persons; they are to be helped regardless of their religious denominations (or even lack of any), and regardless of their being sinners or righteous people since they are needy. God has said the following to Muhammad: "Their guidance is not your responsibility, but God guides whom He wills. Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of God. Any charity you give will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged." (2:272).

5- We tackle in the points below charity donations versus usury (i.e., moneylending with interest rates).

5/1: Some of the companions of Muhammad in Arabia used to practice usury instead of donating charity money to the poor and the needy, and they were reluctant to lend money without interest. God warns them against Hell for eternity in case they die without repentance: "Those who swallow usury will not rise, except as someone driven mad by Satan's touch. That is because they say, "Commerce is like usury." But God has permitted commerce, and has forbidden usury. Whoever, on receiving advice from his Lord, refrains, may keep his past earnings, and his case rests with God. But whoever resumes-these are the dwellers of the Fire, wherein they will abide forever." (2:275).

5/2: God compares in this verse between donating charity money to the poor for the sake of God and moneylending within usury: "God condemns usury, and He blesses charities. God does not love any sinful disbeliever." (2:276). Hence, usurers are very sinful type of disbelievers.

5/3: God has warned severely those usurers who were believers in terms of peaceful demeanor to stop moneylending with the poor in lieu of donating money for charity, and they were to retrieve the money they lent to borrowers without interest rates if they feared the Lord God in piety, and to postpone taking the debts-money from those who were needy or to waive these sums out of charity: "O you who believe! Fear God, and forgo what remains of usury, if you are believers. If you do not, then take notice of a war by God and His messenger. But if you repent, you may keep your capital, neither wronging, nor being wronged. But if he is in hardship, then deferment until a time of ease. But to remit it as charity is better for you, if you only knew." (2:278-280).

6- Charity donations within other domains include the following points.

6/1: Charity donations are paid within pilgrimage rituals: "And carry out the Hajj and the Umrah for God. But if you are prevented, then whatever is feasible of offerings. And do not shave your heads until the offering has reached its destination. Whoever of you is sick, or has an injury of the head, then redemption of fasting, or charity, or worship..." (2:196).

6/2: Charity donations are paid for atonement and expiation of sins: "Others have confessed their sins, having mixed good deeds with bad deeds. Perhaps God will redeem them. God is Forgiving and Merciful. Receive contributions from their wealth, to purify them and sanctify them with it; and pray for them. Your prayer is comfort for them. God is Hearing and Knowing. Do they not know that God accepts the repentance of His servants, and that He receives the contributions, and that God is the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful? Say, "Work. God will see your work, and so will His messenger, and the believers. Then you will be returned to the Knower of secrets and declarations, and He will inform you of what you used to do."" (9:102-105).

6/3: Donating diyya money (i.e., money paid as compensation for physical harm done) for charity instead of accepting and spending it: "And We wrote for them in it: a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and an equal wound for a wound; but whoever forgoes it in charity, it will serve as atonement for him. Those who do not rule according to what God revealed are the unjust ones." (5:45).

6/4: Donating diyya money (i.e., money paid to the family of a victim as compensation for manslaughter) for charity instead of the dead person's family accepting and spending it: "Never should a believer kill another believer, unless by error. Anyone who kills a believer by error must set free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the victim's family, unless they remit it as charity..." (4:92).

6/5: Dowries paid by husbands to wife are literally in Quranic/Arabic tongue expressed by the term sadaaq, a word derived from the Arabic root s/d/q (i.e., true), and some wives repay some of such sums of dowries to their husbands charitably and kindly and out of love to be spend in the household after they live together as man and wife: "Give women their dowries graciously. But if they willingly forego some of it, then consume it with enjoyment and pleasure." (4:4).

Thirdly: charity donations and hypocrites during the era of Muhammad:

1- The stances of hypocrites toward charity donations include the following points.

1/1: Some hypocrites who did not deserve charity money were greedy and coveted to have shares of this money: "And among them are those who criticize you in regard to charities. If they are given some of it, they become pleased; but if they are not given any, they grow resentful." (9:58).

1/2: Some hypocrites donated for charity conditionally and then renege on their promises and vows: "Among them are those who promised God: "If He gives us of His bounty, we will donate and be among the upright." But when He has given them of His bounty, they became stingy with it, and turned away in aversion." (9:75-76).

1/3: Some hypocrites ridiculed those who donate charity money for military endeavors, and this shows that donating money for self-defense jihad endeavors is part of donating charity money within Islam: "Those who criticize the believers who give charity voluntarily and ridicule those who find nothing to give except their own efforts - God ridicules them. They will have a painful torment." (9:79).

2- Between charity donations and hypocrites and their secret counsel to spoil Islamic Shura consultation done collectively:

2/1: Affluent, haughty hypocrites in the Yathreb city-state hated direct democracy of the Islamic Shura consultation as it involves all inhabitants of Yathreb indiscriminately; hence, they engaged into rumormongering through secret counsel to spoil this Shura: "Counsels in secret to conspire are from Satan, that he may dishearten those who believe; but he will not harm them in the least, except by leave of God. So let the believers put their trust in God." (58:10).

2/2: This secret counsel should have been for the sake of good deeds including donating money for charity: "There is no good in much of their private counsels, except for him who advocates charity, or kindness, or reconciliation between people. Whoever does that, seeking God's approval, We will give him a great compensation." (4:114). Those who sought private counsel with Muhammad have been commanded by God to donate money for charity, and if they were poor, they should purify their souls with acts of worship; God says in the Quran: "O you who believe! When you converse privately with the messenger, offer something in charity before your conversation. That is better for you, and purer. But if you do not find the means-God is Forgiving and Merciful. Are you reluctant to offer charity before your conversation? If you do not do so, and God pardons you, then perform the prayer, and purify your souls, and obey God and His messenger. God is Aware of what you do." (58:12-13).

As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth.

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (5) The Overlapping between Truthfulness and the Tru

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (5) The Overlapping between Truthfulness and the Truth

 Introduction:

In everyday speech, we would say that someone bears witness in truth or truthfully. This means that the term (truth) here is almost synonymous with (truthfulness); yet, the term (truth) subsumes (truthfulness), as (truth) is a more general, comprehensive term. We provide more details about this topic in the points below.

Firstly: some meanings of the term (truth):

1- The Truth (with capitalized T) is the term to describe God Himself in the Quran: "That is because God is the Truth..." (22:6); "Such is God, your Lord - the Truth..." (10:32).

2- The same term in the Quran describes Islam as the True Religion from God: "It is He who sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth..." (9:33).

3- The term "Truth" describes the Quran itself, as it contains the Absolute Truth: "With the Truth We sent it down, and with the Truth it descended..." (17:105); "But your people rejected it, though it is the Truth..." (6:66); "What We inspired to you, of the Book, is the Truth..." (35:31).

4- The term (truth) comes in the Quran in the sense of justice, within contexts of persons judging affairs of other people in this world and God judging humanity on the Last Day. Within the Quranic story of David, we read: "...so judge between us in truth,..." (38:22); "...so judge between the people with the truth..." (38:26). God judges people on the Last Day with the Truth; i.e., absolute justice: "...and Judgment will be passed among them with the Truth, and they will not be wronged." (39:69). Fair and equitable people judge with the truth; i.e., justice: "Among those We created is a community-they guide by the truth, and uphold justice thereby." (7:181).

5- The Quranic expression (without truth) means injustice and things done unjustly, and (within the truth) means justice and things done justly: "Those who were evicted from their homes without truth..." (22:40); "...And that you do not kill the soul which God has sanctified-except within the course of truth..." (6:151); "Say, "My Lord has forbidden immoralities-both open and secret-and sin, and aggression unjustified within the truth..." (7:33).

6- The terms (truth/true) also refer to rights of human beings within Quranic sharia legislations, within debts: "...So let him write, and let the debtor dictate the truth..." (2:282); and within zakat: "...and give its true due on the day of its harvest..." (6:141); "And give the relative his true dues, and the poor, and the wayfarer..." (17:26); " And give the relative his true dues, and the poor, and the wayfarer..." (30:38); "And in their wealth, there was a true share for the beggar and the deprived." (51:19); "And those in whose wealth is a true share. For the beggar and the deprived." (70:24-25).

Secondly: the term (truth) as referring to truthfulness:

The term (truth) refers to truthfulness within Quranic contexts of contrasting it to falsehoods: "...Thus God exemplifies truth and falsehood..." (13:17). Within the story of the cow, the Israelites said the following to Moses: "...Now you have brought the truth..." (2:71). The Potiphar's wife cleared the name of Joseph and said the following: "...Now the truth is out..." (12:51). The angels said the following to Abraham about the birth of Isaac: "...We bring you good news in truth..." (15:55). In all these previous Quranic contexts, the term (truth) refers to truthfulness. This applies to the Truth from God as well: "And they inquire of you, "Is it the Truth?" Say, "Yes, by my Lord, it is the Truth, and you cannot evade it."" (10:53); "This is certainly in truth the feuding of the people of the Fire." (38:64); "These are the true believers..." (8:4); "Those who believed, and emigrated, and struggled for God's cause, and those who gave shelter and support-these are the true believers..." (8:74); "Yet it is the Absolute Truth." (69:51); "By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is as true as the fact that you speak." (51:23).

Thirdly: the true/truthful promises of God as the Absolute Truth:

1- This applies in this world and the next one: "...Assuredly, the promise of God is True. But most of them do not know." (10:55); "So be patient. The promise of God is True..." (30:60); "So be patient. The promise of God is True..." (40:55); "So be patient. The promise of God is True..." (40:77).

2- Within this world, we read about God's True Promises in many verses: "So it was, that We caused them to be discovered, that they would know that the promise of God is True..." (18:21); "He said, "This is a mercy from my Lord. But when the promise of my Lord comes true, He will turn it into rubble, and the promise of my Lord is always True."" (18:98); about the mother of Moses: "Thus We returned him to his mother, that she may be comforted, and not grieve, and know that God's promise is True. But most of them do not know." (28:13); "Before you, We sent messengers to their people. They came to them with clear proofs. Then We took revenge on those who sinned. It is truly incumbent on Us to help the believers." (30:47).

3- Within the Hereafter, we read about God's True Promises in many verses: "But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. The promise of God is True - and who is more Truthful in speech than God?" (4:122); "To Him is your return, altogether. The promise of God is True..." (10:4); "God has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties in exchange for Paradise. They fight in God's way, and they kill and get killed. It is a True Promise binding on Him in the Torah, and the Gospel, and the Quran. And who is more True to his promise than God? So rejoice in making such an exchange - that is the supreme triumph." (9:111); "O people! The promise of God is True; so let not the lowly life seduce you, and let not the Tempter tempt you away from God." (35:5); "O people! Be conscious of your Lord, and dread a Day when no parent can avail his child, nor can a child avail his parent, in anything. The promise of God is True. Therefore, do not let this life deceive you, nor let illusions deceive you regarding God." (31:33); "Dwelling therein forever. The promise of God is True..." (31:9); "And they swear by God with their most solemn oaths, "God will not resurrect anyone who dies." Yes indeed, it is a True Promise binding on Him, but most people do not know." (16:38).

Fourthly: the true fulfillment of promises:

1- Examples of the Quranic contexts of this meaning refer to this world and to the Hereafter.

1/1: Examples of fulfilled promises of the Lord God in this world: "Those against whom your Lord's Word is truly fulfilled will not believe." (10:96); "Thus your Lord's Word proved true and fulfilled against those who disobeyed, for they do not believe." (10:33); "...Some of them God guided, while others truly deserved misguidance..." (16:36); "When We decide to destroy a town, We command its affluent ones, they transgress in it, so the Word becomes truly fulfilled against it, and We destroy it completely." (17:16); "...They all rejected the messengers, so My threat came true." (50:14).

1/2: Examples of promises of the Lord God to be fulfilled in the Hereafter: "Had We willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the declaration from Me will come true: "I will fill Hell with jinn and humans, altogether."" (32:13); "Those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in throngs. Until, when they have reached it, and its gates are opened, its keepers will say to them, "Did not messengers from among you come to you, reciting to you the revelations of your Lord, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the verdict of punishment is justified truly against the disbelievers."" (39:71); "Thus the sentence of your Lord became realized in truth against those who disbelieve, that they are to be inmates of the Fire." (40:6); "...And the Word proved true against them in communities of jinn and humans that have passed away before them. They were losers." (41:25); "Those are they upon whom the sentence is truly justified, among the communities that have passed away before them, of jinn and humans. They are truly losers." (46:18); "The Word was fulfilled truly against most of them, for they do not believe." (36:7); "The Word of our Lord has been fulfilled truly against us. We are tasting it." (37:31); "None of them but denied the messengers, so My retribution was truly deserved." (38:14); "Those against whom the sentence is truly justified will say, "Our Lord, these are they whom we misled. We misled them, as we were misled. We beg Your forgiveness; it was not us they used to worship."" (28:63); " Do you not realize that to God prostrates everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the animals, and many of the people? But many are truly deserving of torment..." (22:18).

2- Within other contexts related to this world and to the Hereafter.

2/1: Within this world: "Then We save Our messengers and those who believe. It is truly binding on Us to save the believers." (10:103); "...Father, this is the fulfillment of my vision of long ago. My Lord has made it come true..." (12:100); "God has promised you one of the two groups-that it would be yours-but you wanted the unarmed group to be yours. God intends to prove the truth with His words, and to uproot the disbelievers." (8:7).

2/2: Related to the Hereafter: "And the inhabitants of the Garden will call out to the inmates of the Fire, "We found what our Lord promised us to be true; did you find what your Lord promised you to be true?" They will say, "Yes."..." (7:44).

Lastly:

1- The Quran is the Absolute Truth; Muhammad's sole mission was to convey the entire of the Quranic text without adding or omitting a single word or letter. This is why in real Islam, one is to believe ONLY in the Quran as the Discourse of Truth.

2- Islam is the religion of Truth and truthfulness. Muhammad's mission was confined to spreading this Truth as God's Word; he was NEVER to express opinions or to explain things about the Quranic verses,

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (6) Between the Truth and Telling Lies in Religion

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (6) Between the Truth and Telling Lies in Religion

Published in November 20, 2017

Translated by: Ahmed Fathy

Firstly: between the Truth of the celestial religion of God and the lies  of the devilish religions of Satan:

1- God's religion is the Truth, whereas the so many of Satan's religions are mere lies, myths and falsehoods. God's True religion is a celestial revelation descending from God to His prophets/messengers. Satan's religions contain revelations of falsehoods and lies given to allies of Satan among devilish Jinn and human beings, while pretending that such revelations are divine (i.e., from God) by ascribing them falsely to God's religion and to His prophets/messengers. Hence, as far as religion is concerned, there is two types of contradictory revelations: the true, divine revelation and the revelations of falsehoods by devils and Satan. God says the following in the Quran about His Word, the Last Message to human beings, the Quran itself: "It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. The Honest Spirit came down with it. Upon your heart, that you may be one of the warners." (26:192-195); "It was not the devils that revealed it. It is not in their interests, nor in their power. They are barred from hearing." (26:210-212). God says the following about devilish revelations: "Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? They descend upon every sinful liar." (26:221-222).

2- God's prophets/messengers are the truthful envoys of the Lord God, whereas their foes and enemies are those who falsely ascribe discourses, narratives, hadiths of Satanist revelations to God and His prophets/messengers: "Likewise, We have assigned for every prophet an enemy-human and jinn devils-inspiring one another with fancy words in order to deceive. But had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. So leave them to their fabrications. So that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to it, and be content with it, and that they may perpetrate whatever they perpetrate." (6:112-113). We notice the use of the present tense in 6:112-113, indicating that the devilish revelations to allies of Satan will continue in all eras and there will be always those who be content to follow such revelations of falsehoods and thus they perpetrate sins and crimes.

3- This continuity of devilish revelations is witnessed now by the phenomenon of human allies of Satan arguing with Quranists (especially a Quranist thinker like ourselves) about Quranic verses with the aim to refute and undermine them to repel people away from His Way (i.e., the Quran) and to make their narratives/hadiths replace it; God has warned real, true believers against engaging in such arguments: "...The devils inspire their followers to argue with you; but if you obey them, you would be polytheists." (6:121).

4- ""Shall I seek a judge other than God, when He is the One who revealed to you the Book, explained in detail?" Those to whom We gave the Book know that it is the Truth revealed from your Lord. So do not be of those who doubt. The Word of your Lord has been completed, in Truth and justice. There is no changing to His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower." (6:114-115). Here, God informs real, true believers that the Quran is the Only Perfect and True Criterion to judge within religious matters, as it is the Detailed Book; we are never to focus on the countless books of devilish revelations and Satanist narratives authored by misguided and misguiding persons.

5- There are unjust ones who deceive others within worldly matters and issues, but those who are more unjust are those who wrong God by ascribing to Him false narratives/hadiths as if they were divinely revealed, because these are devilish revelations that lead one to reject and disbelieve in the Truth revealed by God; i.e., the Quran and previous Scriptures. This meaning is repeated several times in the Quranic text; we quote here examples only from the Quranic Chapter Six. "Who does greater wrong than someone who fabricates lies against God, or denies His verses? The unjust ones will not succeed." (6:21); " Who does greater injustice than someone who invents falsehoods against God, or says, "It was revealed to me," when nothing was revealed to him, or says, "I will reveal the like of what God revealed"? If only you could see the unjust ones in the throes of death, as the angels with arms outstretched: "Give up your souls. Today you are being repaid with the torment of shame for having said about God other than the Truth, and for being too proud to accept His verses."" (6:93); "...Who does greater injustice than he who invents lies and attributes them to God, in order to mislead people without knowledge? God does not guide the unjust people." (6:144).

6- The Satanist revelations are the foundations of the earthly, man-made, fabricated religions whose imams and clergymen are deified and sanctified. Such clergymen ally themselves to any tyrants and unjust regimes, and this leads to the spread of more injustices in a given country, where clergymen commit injustices against God and people. This applies to the countries of the Muhammadans now; the Shiite, Sufi, or Sunnite clergymen are being ridden and controlled by tyrants, and such clergymen ride and control, in their turn, other citizens. Tyrants and their official clergymen are experts in telling lies to people and they lie to God as well, while insisting they tell the truth. When their claims and statements are refuted using the Quranic Truth, they disbelieve, undermine, and argue against the Quranic Truth and accuse preachers of the Quranic Truth of being inveterate liars. Hence, they ascribe lies to God and to His religion and disbelieve in Quranic verses, God's Word, while accuse those who preach reform using the Quranic Truth of being liars. Telling lies and falsehoods is part of their history in all eras until now.

Secondly: disbelievers accuse God's prophets/messengers of being inveterate liars:

God says in the Quran: "Who is more evil than he who lies about God, and denies the Truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell room for the disbelievers? But he who promotes the Truth, and testifies to it - these are the righteous." (39:32-33). We see here the lucid comparison between the most unjust people, who disbelieve in the Quranic Truth and ascribe lies to God, and prophets/messengers who conveyed the Message of Truth from their Lord God and those real, true believers in God's Word. Thus, disbelievers who adhered to lies, myths, and falsehoods typically accused God's prophets/messengers of being liars.

1- Noah and his followers were accused of being liars: "The affluent ones who disbelieved among his people said, "We see in you nothing but a man like us, and we see that only the worst among us have followed you, those of immature judgment. And we see that you have no advantage over us. In fact, we think you are liars."" (11:27).

2- This same accusation was leveled at Hood by his people, the tribe of Aad: "The affluent ones of his people who disbelieved said, "We see foolishness in you, and we think that you are a liar."" (7:66).

3- The tribe of Thamood accused Saleh of being an inveterate liar, and the response/refutation came to them before they were smitten and destroyed by God: "...he is an inveterate liar." They will know tomorrow who the inveterate liar is.'' (54:25-26)

4- Shuaib was accused of being a liar by his people of Madian, and the response/refutation came to them before they were smitten and destroyed by God: "...and we think that you are a liar." (26:186); "...You will know to whom will come a punishment that will shame him, and who is a liar. So look out; I am on the lookout with you."" (11:93).

5- Moses' Pharaoh was the self-deified tyrant who went into unprecedented extremes of corruption, and he saw himself as a guiding person and accused Moses of corruption and telling lies, as he desired to put him to death: "Pharaoh said, "Allow me to kill Moses, and let him appeal to his Lord. I fear he may change your religion, or spread corruption on earth."" (40:26); "...Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not direct you except to the path of guidance."" (40:29); "We sent Moses with Our signs, and a clear authority. To Pharaoh, Haman, and Quaroon. But they said, "A lying sorcerer."" (40:23-24); "And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, build me a tower, that I may reach the pathways. The pathways of the heavens, so that I may glance at the God of Moses; though I think he is lying." Thus Pharaoh's evil deeds were made to appear good to him, and he was averted from the path. Pharaoh's guile was only in defeat." (40:36-37); "Pharaoh said, "O nobles, I know of no god for you other than me. So fire-up the bricks for me O Haman, and build me a tower, that I may ascend to the God of Moses, though I think he is a liar."" (28:38).

6- Muhammad was also accused of being a liar; God says in the Quran: "And they marveled that a warner has come to them from among them. The disbelievers said, "This is a lying magician."" (38:4). Muhammad was also accused of fabricating the Quran and ascribing it falsely to God; God refutes their claims in the Quran this way: "Did he invent a lie about God, or is there madness in him?" Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are in torment, and far astray." (34:8); "Or do they say, "He invented it himself"? Say, "If I invented it myself, there is nothing you can do to protect me from God. He knows well what you are engaged in. He is sufficient witness between me and you. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful."" (46:8). Thus, this has been an attempt of adulterating facts/truth by the Qorayish disbelievers.

Thirdly: adulterating facts/truth:

1- God in the Quran asserts the Truth: "...We are indeed Truthful." (6:146); angels who were sent to Lot asserted their truthfulness when he doubted them: ""We bring you the truth, and we are truthful."" (15:64). Yet, disbelievers who were liars used the same assertion/claim of truthfulness within contexts of their telling lies, conspiring, scheming, and plotting; e.g., this group of Thamood people who plotted to kill their prophet Saleh: "In the city was a gang of nine who made mischief on earth and did no good. They said, "Swear by God to one another that we will attack him and his family by night, and then tell his guardian, 'We did not witness the murder of his family, and we are being truthful.'"" (27:48-49). Thus, in all eras, preachers of Truth assert their being truthful but so are polytheists and unjust aggressors.

2- This is why God says that liars among polytheists and disbelievers can never be guided. Examples of this fact are tackled below.

2/1: God makes this general rule about disbelievers who tell lies, after talking about disbelieving Arabs: "In fact, We have given them the truth, and they are liars." (23:90); "It is those who do not believe in God's verses who fabricate falsehood. These are the liars." (16:105); "...and for the disbelievers to know that they were liars." (16:39).

2/2: God asserts to us in the Quran that those who are experts in misguiding people by telling lies, falsehoods, and myths can never be guided, though Muhammad was keen on guiding them: "...God does not guide the lying disbeliever." (39:3); "Even though you may be concerned about their guidance, God does not guide those who misguide. And they will have no supporters." (16:37).

Fourthly: God testifies in the Quran against the Yathreb hypocrites among the companions of Muhammad as they were inveterate liars:

1- Those hypocritical companions ascribed lies to Muhammad while he was alive as part of their conspiring against him; God has exposed them and told Muhammad to stay away from them: "They profess obedience, but when they leave your presence, some of them conspire something contrary to what you said. But God writes down what they conspire. So avoid them, and put your trust in God. God is Guardian enough." (4:81).

2- God describes such hypocrites those who swear by God's name too much to cover their lies, to keep their stature, and to repel people away from God's Path: "They treat their oaths as a cover, and so they repel others from God's path. Evil is what they do." (63:2); "They took their oaths as a screen, and prevented others from God's path. They will have a shameful torment." (58:16).

3- God testifies against these hypocrites as they were liars and predicts their swearing by His name falsely: "...Still they swear by God: "Had we been able, we would have marched out with you." They damn their own souls, and God knows that they are lying. May God pardon you! Why did you give them permission before it became clear to you who are the truthful ones, and who are the liars?" (9:42-43); "Then there are those who establish a mosque to cause harm, and disbelief, and disunity among the believers, and as an outpost for those who fight God and His messenger. They will swear: "Our intentions are nothing but good." But God bears witness that they are liars." (9:107); "When the hypocrites come to you, they say, "We bear witness that you are God's messenger." God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness that the hypocrites are liars." (63:1).

4- Those liars and hypocrites were companions who were contemporaries of Muhammad, and the Sunnite religion deifies and sanctifies all of them as infallible saints/deities; this means that the Sunnite religion is based on telling/narrating lies, and this applies to all other earthly religions whose foundations are devilish/Satanist revelations.

Fifthly: hypocrites live and die as inveterate liars and will go on telling lies even on the Last Day:

1- God says the following about what hypocrites will do on the Last Day: "On the Day when God will resurrect them altogether-they will swear to Him, as they swear to you, thinking that they are upon something. Indeed, they themselves are the liars." (58:18).

2- Moreover, God says the following about polytheistic hypocrites on the Last Day who used to tell lies: "On the Day when We gather them all together, then say to the polytheists, "Where are your partners, those you used to claim?" Then their only argument will be to say, "By God, our Lord, we were not polytheists." Look how they lied to themselves. And what they invented deserted them." (6:22-24).

3- Hence, their addition to telling lies will go on even on the Last Day until before being thrown into Hell; they will wish in vain to return to Earth to believe, but this wish is even a lie, as God says in these verses: "If only you could see, when they are made to stand before the Fire; they will say, "If only we could be sent back, and not reject the verses of our Lord, and be among the believers." What they used to conceal before will become clear to them. And even if they were sent back, they would revert to what they were forbidden. They are liars." (6:27-28).

4- The above is not strange or astonishing; what is really strange or astonishing is the fact that, past and present, the vast majority of human beings deify and believe in imams/leaders of lies and falsehoods who include, for instance, Al-Bokhary, Malik, Al-Shafei, Al-Kulayni, Al-Ghazaly, Ibn Taymiyya,  and Ibn Abdul-Wahab. They also include clergymen of the present and of the past within all earthly religions. All of these clergymen and imams are inveterate liars and hypocrites, and those who believe in them and in their discourses are liars like them.

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (7) If You Are Truthful

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (7) If You Are Truthful

Introduction:

1- Almighty God has the right – and He is the One to give people the Truth in His Book – to say to human beings to do this or that if they are truthful or true believers. It is easy for some human beings to claim being truthful persons or true believers, but this is tested to prove this truthfulness and belief. When disbelievers denied the Truth conveyed by the prophets/messengers of God, they asked them to perform miracles if they were truthful. Hence, the phrase (if you are truthful) is mentioned in the Quran in the contexts of God talking to human beings and in the contexts about disbelievers stubbornly accusing prophets/messengers of being liars and denying the Truth they conveyed.

2- We provide some details about this topic in the points below.

Firstly: truthfulness means belief, (if you are truthful) means (if you are true believers):

Among the arguments of disbelievers among the People of the Book in their rejection of the Quran is that they believe only in their own scriptures and never in any revealed Book that came later on. God defies them by posing the question to them about their ancestors who murdered some prophets: "And when it is said to them, "Believe in what God has revealed," they say, "We believe in what was revealed to us," and they reject anything beyond that, although it is the truth which confirms what they have. Say, "Why did you kill God's prophets before, if you are believers?"" (2:91). We notice here the expression used by God: (if you are believers). We notice the expression (if you are truthful) within a similar context to refute claims by the People of the Book: "Those who said, "God has made a covenant with us, that we shall not believe in any messenger unless he brings us an offering to be consumed by fire." Say, "Messengers have come to you before me with proofs, and with what you asked for; so why did you assassinate them, if you are truthful?"" (3:183). This means that belief and truthfulness are synonymous in the Quran.

Secondly: ponderings about the phrase (if you are truthful) used in contexts of God addressing human beings:

1- Middle-Eastern tyrants until now are too arrogant and disdainful to accept holding a dialogue with their citizens, or rather 'subjects' owned by the tyrannical rulers and thus do not deserve an audience with them! Tyrants forget the fact that they are mortal human beings created out of water and mud. Almighty God the Creator holds a dialogue with all human beings (believers and disbelievers) in the Quran. This indicates the absolute religious freedom for human beings to (mis)guide themselves and their bearing full responsibility for their choices. Hence, when the Dominant Lord God holds a dialogue with mortals to make them choose to guide themselves to the Righteous Path and they arrogantly refuse to listen, they deserve the eternity in Hell.

2- God's dialogues with man inside the Quran is a part of vital importance in God's message. Some of the dialogues are preceded by the word (Say) and some are not. Some dialogues defy the disbelievers and refute their claims while containing the phrase (if you are truthful).

3- These dialogues addressed people in the 7th century Arabia when the Quran was being revealed gradually and it responds to them. Though we in our mourn era have nothing to do with ancient nations, we cannot help but notice that these dialogues suitably address people in all eras and especially our era today, because the Muhammadans repeat most of the words uttered by the Qorayish disbelievers and other disbelievers refuted in the Quranic text. Hence, these dialogues are addressing people of our era as well and we quote them to ward and preach the Muhammadans of today so that they may repent and become monotheists.

Thirdly: the dialogue of Almighty God using the phrase (if you are truthful):

With Arabs polytheists about the miracle of the Quran:

1- The rejected and denied the miracle of the Quran and claimed that Muhammad authored and fabricate its text; God has challenged them to author something similar to the Quran if they are indeed truthful in their claim: "Or do they say, "He made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. So let them produce a discourse like it, if they are truthful." (52:33-34).

2- Those polytheists insisted on repeating the same claim or accusation leveled against Muhammad while being unable to produce a discourse like the Quran. God has challenged them to bring even ten chapters like it by the help of their allies/deities, if they were truthful: "Or do they say, "He invented it?" Say, "Then produce ten chapters like it, invented, and call upon whomever you can, besides God, if you are truthful."" (11:13).

3- They could not produce ten chapters similar to the Quran they denied and insisted on repeating the same claim or accusation leveled against Muhammad that he authored the Quran. God has challenged them to bring even bring one chapter similar to the Quran conveyed to Muhammad from God: "And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like these, and call your witnesses apart from God, if you are truthful." (2:23); "Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Say, "Then produce a single chapter like it, and call upon whomever you can, apart from God, if you are truthful."" (10:38). We notice that repetition of the phrase (if you are truthful) in each challenge.

With hypocrites:

1- Many men were killed during the battle of Uhud, and hypocrites inside the Yathreb city-state seized the chance to spread the word about those murdered men who should have obeyed them and heeded their advice by not to fight, and this would have spared their lives. God refutes their claims by asserting that they cannot evade death if they were truthful: "Those who said of their brethren, as they stayed behind, "Had they obeyed us, they would not have been killed." Say, "Then avert death from yourselves, if you are truthful."" (3:168). The inevitability of death and its predestined time and location for each person is asserted earlier in the same Quranic Chapter Three: "...while others cared only for themselves, thinking of God thoughts that were untrue-thoughts of ignorance-saying, "Is anything up to us?" Say, "Everything is up to God." They conceal within themselves what they do not reveal to you. And they say, "If it was up to us, none of us would have been killed here." Say, "Even if you Had stayed in your homes, those destined to be killed would have marched into their death beds." God thus tests what is in your minds, and purifies what is in your hearts. God knows what the hearts contain." (3:154).

2- Some people condescendingly declared their conversion to Islam before Muhammad, which means they submitted to peaceful behavior, but their hearts had not yet believed in God within monotheism. God has responded to them: "They regarded it a favor to you that they have submitted. Say, "Do not consider your submission a favor to me; it is God who has done you a favor by guiding you to the faith, if you are truthful."" (49:17). This means that if they were true believers, they would not have deemed it a favor to Muhammad that they had submitted to peace (i.e., Islam in terms of demeanor).

With the People of the Book:

1- Some of them claimed to be 'God's chosen ones' and His only allies who will be the only ones to inherit the Paradise in the Hereafter, and God has challenged them as follows: "Say, "O Jews; if you claim to be the chosen ones of God, to the exclusion of the rest of all other people, then wish for death if you are truthful."" (62:6); "Say, "If the Final Home with God is yours alone, to the exclusion of all other people, then wish for death if you are truthful."" (2:92). The Muhammadans (especially the Sufis) follow the footsteps of the People of the Book; Sufis in particular have the same claims that they are the 'only allies' of God.

2- Jews and Christians disputed over the notion that each part monopolizes Paradise; God in the Quran refutes such claims that are mere wishful thinking and He has challenged them to provide a proof of their claims: "And they say, "None will enter Heaven unless he is a Jew or a Christian." These are their wishes. Say, "Produce your proof, if you are truthful."" (2:111). Likewise, the Muhammadans claim their monopoly of Paradise by their invented myths of intercessions and mediations.

3- Regarding food items, some of the People of the Book prohibited what God has made permissible and ascribed their wrong notions to hadiths ascribed to Jacob/Israel; God has challenged them to recite the Torah if they were truthful: "All food was permissible to the Israelites, except what Israel forbade for itself before the Torah was revealed. Say, "Bring the Torah, and read it, if you are truthful."" (3:93).

With Arab disbelievers:

1- A historical fact is asserted by the Quran and disregarded by historians (and by the authors of the Old Testament); namely, that the Israelites during their diaspora moved temporarily from Sinai to Arabia and entered Mecca; Moses and Aaron preached the Meccans to embrace the testimony of (There is no God but Allah), but the Meccans upon seeing the miracles disbelieved and accused both prophets of being sorcerers. Later on, the Meccans wished that God would sent them a prophet like the one sent to the People of the Book, while forgetting their rejection of the call of Moses and Aaron. We understand this from these verses: "Otherwise, if a calamity befell them as a result of what their hands have perpetrated, they would say, "Our Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, we would have followed Your Verses, and been among the believers." But when the Truth came to them from Us, they said, "If only he was given the like of what was given to Moses." Did they not disbelieve in what was given to Moses in the past? They said, "Two works of magic backing one another." And they said, "We are disbelieving in both." " (28:47-48). God has challenged the Meccans to produce a Book better than the Torah and the Quran if they were truthful, despite their rejection of the Quran that fulfills what came down in the Torah: "Say, "Then bring a scripture from God, more conductive to guidance than both, and I will follow it, if you are truthful."" (28:49).

2- God has refuted the claim of Arab disbelievers who assumed that angels were daughters of God and has challenged them to prove their claim if they were truthful: "Ask them, "Are the daughters for your Lord, while for them the sons?" Or did We create the angels females, as they witnessed?" No indeed! It is one of their lies when they say. "God has begotten." They are indeed lying. So He preferred girls over boys? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Will you not reflect? Or do you have some clear proof? Then bring your book, if you are truthful." (37:149-157).

3- Likewise, God has challenged them to prove their myths of prohibiting certain food items, if they were truthful: "Eight pairs: two of the sheep, and two of the goats. Say, "Did He forbid the two males, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you are truthful."" (6:143).

4- When they challenged Muhammad to cause torment to befall them, God has challenged them by telling them that if He would inflict a torment on them, they will find no gods/saints to seek their aid for deliverance: they will seek refuge only in God: "Say, "Have you considered? if God's torment came upon you, or the Hour overtook you, would you call upon any other than God, if you are truthful?" In fact, it is Him you will call upon; and if He wills, he will remove what you called Him for, and you will forget your polytheism" (6:40-41).

With disbelievers in general in all era:

This dialogue applies to all polytheists in all eras and locations who, after the era in which the Quran has been revealed, deify and sanctify things, items, mausoleums, and mortals. Those polytheists are the Muhammadans, Israelites, Christians, Buddhists, the Hindus, etc.

1-All polytheists worship mortals who are dead and whose bodies turned to dust; God has challenged them to prove that this dust would aid or respond to them, if they are truthful: "Those you call upon besides God are servants like you. So call upon them, and let them answer you, if you are truthful." (7:194).

2- Polytheists cannot being back those dead divinities/gods; Shiites cannot bring back to life Hussein, his mother, his father, nor his progeny. Likewise, Sunnites cannot revive back their mortal deities like Al-Bokhary and other imams, nor could they bring back to life their imaginary supreme deity whom they named 'Muhammad' whose Satanist mausoleum they worship in the Yathreb mosque. such devilish mausoleum is an abomination and has nothing to do with the historical figure of Muhammad mentioned in the Quran. This challenge to bring back their mortal allies/saints/gods to life is expressed in this verse: "Or do they have partners? Then let them produce their partners, if they are truthful." (68:41).

3- Polytheists hate to worship only God without their partners/gods/saints alongside with Him, and God has challenged them to prove their claim if they were truthful: "Or, who originates the creation and then repeats it, and who gives you livelihood from the sky and the earth? Is there another god with Allah? Say, "Produce your evidence, if you are truthful."" (27:64). God has challenged them to prove if the alleged gods created anything or owned anything created by Him: "Say, "Have you considered those you worship instead of God? Show me which portion of the earth they have created. Or do they own a share of the heavens? Bring me a scripture prior to this one, or some trace of knowledge, if you are truthful." (46:4).

4- Another challenged is posed to those who disbelieve in God's Word, the Quran, especially by believing in other discourses beside it, that they cannot return the soul of dead persons once more to their bodies: "" (56:81-87). Upon dying, the Muhammadans will realize – after it is too late for them – that they are among the losers because they have abandoned the Quran. We preach and warn them to repent before they die and to believe only in the Quran as the only source of God's religion. "Have they not observed the government of the heavens and the earth, and all the things that God created, and that their time may have drawn near? In which discourse, besides this, will they believe?" (7:185).

Fourthly: the phrase (if you are truthful) within the dialogue held between God's prophets/messengers and the disbelievers among their peoples:

Within asking for a miracle:

1- The tribe of Thamood asked Saleh the prophet to perform a miracle for them: "You are nothing but a man like us. So bring us a sign, if you are truthful." (26:154). Moses' Pharaoh demanded the same from Moses: "He said, "If you brought a miracle, then present it, if you are truthful."" (7:106). We notice the use of ten phrase (if you are truthful) in both instances.

2- Arabs (especially Qorayish) demanded from Muhammad many miracles and used the same phrase (if you are truthful) while addressing Muhammad to revive their dead fathers and to make them see angels: "Bring back our ancestors, if you are truthful." (44:36); "When Our Clear Verses are recited to them, their only argument is to say, "Bring back our ancestors, if you are truthful."" (45:25); "Why do you not bring us the angels, if you are truthful?" (15:7).

Within asking for torment to befall them:

The disbelievers used to challenge God's prophets/messengers to cause torment to befall them, while using the phrase (if you are truthful).

1- The people of Noah said to him: "They said, "O Noah, you have argued with us, and argued a great deal. Now bring upon us what you threaten us with, if you are truthful." (11:32).The people of Aad said to Hood: "They said, "Did you come to us to make us worship God alone, and abandon what our ancestors used to worship? Then bring us what you threaten us with, if you are truthful." (7:70); "They said, "Did you come to us to divert us from our gods? Then bring us what you threaten us with if you are truthful." (46:22).The people of Madian said to Shuaib: "So bring down on us pieces from the sky, if you are truthful." (26:187).The people of Lot said to him: "...But the only response from his people was to say, "Bring upon us God's torment, if you are truthful."" (29:29).

2- Qorayish has repeated the phrase (if you are truthful) to Muhammad in many instances: "And they say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?"" (10:48, 21:38, 27:71, 34:29, 36:48, 67:25); "And they say, "When is this victory, if you are truthful?"" (32:28).

Conclusion of the Book: Islam Is the Religion of the Truth, But What about Those Who Ascribe Themsel

Conclusion of the Book: Islam Is the Religion of the Truth, But What about Those Who Ascribe Themselves to Islam?

1- Most of the Muhammadans live in countries dominated by tyranny reinforced by clergymen. Any types of clergymen are based on telling lies and falsehoods. The clergymen of the Muhammadans spread their religion of myths through mosques, media, and education. Such lies and myths are sanctified by the masses because they are presented while preceded by the phrase (Prophet Muhammad said that...). When reformist thinkers refute such myths and falsehoods and say that Prophet Muhammad never uttered such nonsense, they are severely persecuted. Tyrants are addicted to telling lies profusely all the time whenever they talk. When Sufis, Sunnites, an Shiites become very 'religious, they adhere to tenets of their earthly religions by being addicted to telling lies shamelessly during their daily life and they swear by God's name falsely; these hypocrites even renege on their promises while saying the phrases like "God willing" & "if God wills it"; i.e., inchaa-Allah in Arabic, to evade fulfilling their promises using God's Will as a pretext! Those who use such phrases intend not keep their word! Thus, they insult God's Holy Name and use it falsely, talking it in vain, in the same manner when Wahabi suicide bombers and terrorists shout (Allahu Akbar!) or God is the Greatest!

2- It is second nature to the Muhammadans to tell lies, to take the Lord's Name in vain, and to swear falsely by His Name; this is a main feature of hypocrites, and this way, they bring damnation to their souls in the Hereafter, as we infer from this verse about hypocrites of Yathreb during Muhammad's lifetime: "Had the gain been immediate, and the journey shorter, they would have followed you; but the distance seemed too long for them. Still they swear by God: "Had we been able, we would have marched out with you." They damn their own souls, and God knows that they are lying." (9:42).

3- Addiction to telling lies is manifested more in the political life; some men would claim to be 'chosen' ones by God to rule people in His Name! Those sinners are corrupt ones who monopolize and confiscate the name of Islam to defeat their political foes and other secular politicians by distinguishing themselves that way; this, it is as if when one questions or criticizes them and their notions, one is criticizing Islam itself! Such men ascribe lies to God; God never deputized any mortals to speak on His behalf or to rule people in His Name. Yet, this blasphemous notion spread for centuries by tyrants to 'justify' their tyranny, crimes, and injustices; Umayyads, Abbasids, and even European kings and emperors assumed that their deeds are part of Fate ordained by God's Will! Thus, those who would dare to protest are deemed as protesting the Will of the Lord and must be regarded as 'heretics' or 'infidels' who deserved to be put to death.

4- The Europeans liberated themselves from the domination of the Catholic Church with its myths, illusions, and falsehoods that corrupted social and political life for centuries. Hence, telling lies is no longer a religion there but regarded as a vice and a crime. The Europeans have discovered that telling the truth and giving true, sincere promises is of vital importance for better life; this made trade flourish based on mutual trust and security among citizens. This is of course real Islam in terms of peaceful behavior, as people feel safe and secure when dealing with one another within an atmosphere of trust, honesty, and integrity based on telling the truth and fulfilling promises truly.

5- When the West liberated itself from the dominance and control of its man-made, earthly religions, truth has become the basis for people when dealing with one another; telling lies has become a source of shame and disgrace for anyone and in many cases a crime punishable by law. People may tolerate a lie told by a common person, but never a politician and responsible officials because they must be truthful as they serve their societies. This a very important priority in the West; the media focus too much on officials and politicians, especially those who conceal their errors and mistakes; their statements must be truthful and they must please the citizens; people have the right to refute them and to prove if they tell lies, and if this is proven, the media have no mercy for them within vitriolic criticism and backlash, leading them to resign or lose their posts. This has occurred many times.

6- In contrast, Middle-Eastern tyrants tell so many lies spread by their media and insist that their lies are truths that must be believed by the citizens. Obsequious clergymen in the service of tyrants assert and subscribe to their lies to gain more favors, posts, and money, and they have no qualms because their earthly, false religions are based on a bunch of lies. Hence, lies fill the atmosphere to the extent that when some persons tells the truth, no one would care to listen, let alone believe them.

7- When Middle-Eastern Sufi, Shiite, and Sunnite people immigrate to the West, they carry the instinct to lie inside them, and they are surprised to see West people tell the truth spontaneously about everything, even about their private lives, without telling lies and fabrications. When those immigrants tell lies, as typically expected because lying is second nature to them, the West people might forgive them at first but desert them if they lie a second time. Some immigrants engage into a self-reform process and adhere to telling the truth to adjust their lives, integrate, and acculturate in these West societies. Some of those who adamantly refuse to reform themselves will frequent Sufi, Sunnite, or Shiite mosques of the West, where lies and falsehoods reign supreme, and they remain inveterate liars all their lives.

8- We can never expect people to tell the truth as part of their daily life while being dominated by clergymen of earthly religions which are based on lies and falsehoods.

9- Any type of reform must begin with removing the control and domination of clergymen over people.
